Search me, O God, and know my heart; Test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Being human, offense is a part of the journey, whether actual or perceived. Through the years I’ve had to go to God and pray David’s prayer and this is why I recommend it: Whether you are the offended or the offender the process is absolutely the same and it is good to search your own heart but that is not what David prayed!! He prayed "search my heart O God!!!" In that process all of our subtle or not so subtle games are stripped from us as we surrender sovereignty to our all seeing, all knowing, all powerful, ever present God!!!
This week we will talk about this a bit for our own peace of heart and joy of life!!
Meditation: Am I willing to really know the truth about me from God when it comes to my relationships with others?
