Breakthrough 93: Day 2

Written by Pastor Nelson Jones

In light of our meditative question of the week, what are your thoughts about this quote from CS Lewis?

"If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have  largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this."

Meditate on the following scripture today, take your three times of prayer on your knees when possible and pray your hand.

"Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honour at God's right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory."

Colossians. 3:1-4 NLT

interesting to read this as i just ordered a Randy Alcorn daily devotional on Heaven to help me keep my focus where it needs to be, on the bigger perspective. This world makes sense when I keep my focus on eternal matters.

The Col scriptures brought me to thinking i allow offense to come in too easily. I need to keep my thoughts closer to heaven and what mg Daddy in heaven thinks of me, than listening to what mere men might say to or about me.

I have had the thought for several weeks that it is our (the church) time to Stand Up and take back our territory that the enemy has long been stealing from us. The first place to start such an advance is on our knees. To me this "93" couldn't be more timely.
