Drivers

Overview

The Youth are looking for people who are willing to offer use of their vehicle or to drive their own vehicle to and from youth events either within the city or occasional short road trips.

Goals

The goal of this ministry is to provide opportunity for youth to make life-advancing decisions.

Skills

Not mind having a vehicle full of youth

Responsibilities

A Drivers responsibility would be to arrive on time to transport youth from one venue to another. This often means short drives within the city, but occasionally there are short road trips that require a driver to bring our youth safely to their destination.

Requirements

TIME COMMITMENT: This ministry fluctuates. If you have days or times that you know you cannot be available as a driver please indicate, but otherwise the driver will be asked with some advance notice before being asked to drive to any events.

Prayer Team

Overview

The Youth are looking for people who are willing to meet consistently and commit to lifting up our youth and their leaders in prayer.

Goals

The goal of this ministry is to support our youth and their leaders through prayer.

Skills

Able to pray with a group

Responsibilities

To commit to praying often and consistently for our youth and their leaders. Also to get together with the prayer team to pray for other team members, the youth and their leaders.

Requirements

TIME COMMITMENT: This may vary but ideally once a week.

Leaders

Overview

The Youth are looking for people who are willing to come and serve in our fun and energetic group of leaders. This may include greeting/ ushering, encouraging teens, leading small group discussion, setting up and taking part in games and activities, security, road trip supervisors or meeting and welcoming youth.

The goal of this ministry is to provide opportunity for youth to make life-advancing decisions.

Skills

It is an asset if you are comfortable with speaking in small groups or occasionally in the main youth service. A willingness to serve where needed and an ability to speak into a youth's life are highly regarded in this ministry.

Responsibilities

There are numerous ways a leader could serve depending on your interest and time commitment. We have a need for people in our Sunday morning service greeting/ushering, singing or playing in band, sharing testimony or meeting and encouraging youth. We also need leaders on Tuesday or Friday nights who can lead small group discussions, set up and take down games and activities and possibly overseeing 'Mini Ministries'. We are also in need of special events leaders that may supervise road trips, work security or welcome youth.

Requirements

TIME COMMITMENT – You may choose the frequency that you serve in this ministry, but once a month is recommended. The Tuesday or Friday night commitment is roughly three hours once a week.

Camp Help

Overview

The Junior Youth team has a need for volunteers to head out to camp before it begins and clean and sanitize the camp in preparation for the kids' arrival. There is also a need for camp counselors to camp out for the week and have fun while mentoring the youth.

The goal of this ministry is to provide opportunity for youth to make life-advancing decisions.

Skills

Responsibilities

To drive out to the camp land and completely clean and sanitize the camp as well as prepare bedding for campers. If you volunteer as a counselor you will be expected to be responsible for a group of campers. You will mentor them throughout the week; speaking into their lives and making connections, while have a blast out in nature.

Requirements

TIME COMMITMENT – Youth camp lasts for one week during the summer. Cleaning can take a day or a couple of days depending on how quickly the workers are able to complete the task.
