Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Day 22 | Tuesday, March 21
Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:
There seems to be a contradiction in what Jesus said. For example, whoever wants to be great must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave. Jesus came to this earth to be a servant and to serve others, Jesus gave up his life for others.
- What position do you want to be in your community? A person who serves others? Or a person who is served by others?
- What are you willing to give up in order to serve other people?
Matthew 20:26-28 (NIV) | “Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave-- just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
