  2. Do I live with constant gratitude that Jesus paid the cost for my sin?

‭‭‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭53‬:‭6‬ ‭(NLT‬‬) | “All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.”

  1. When I think about my future do I have feelings of peace, and contentment, or does fear rise up in me?
  2. How often do I think about God’s indescribable love for me and his desire to see me thrive?

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29‬:‭11‬ ‭(MSG‬‬) | I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.”

Day 28 | Wednesday, March 29

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

In light of the infinite expanse between my wisdom and God’s, is there anything that is holding me back from giving complete control of my life to God?

Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭8‬ ‭(MEV‬‬) | “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways, says the Lord.”

Day 27 | Tuesday, March 28

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. One definition of "commit" in Webster's dictionary is "to put into charge or trust". When I consider my plans for the future have I fully entrusted them to God?
  2. Can I think of anything that I haven’t yet surrendered to Him?

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭16‬:‭3‬ ‭(NIV‬‬) | “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.”

Day 26 | Monday, March 27

  2. Am I obedient to what He shows me?

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25‬:‭4‬ ‭(CEV‬‬) | “Show me your paths and teach me to follow;”

Day 25 | Friday, March 24

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. Am I ready to help the poor and needy at any time?
  2. What prevents me from helping the poor?

As a follower of Jesus, what things has God asked you to do or to give up?

Matthew 4:18-22 (NIV) | “As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

Day 23 | Wednesday, March 22

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. Joseph was in the lowest position in Egypt, but later he became the highest. What do you think was the reason?
  2. Joseph was a man who did everything entrusted to him as to the Lord. Are you doing all the work entrusted to you today as if you are doing it for the Lord?

Colossians 3:22-24 (NIV) | “Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to win their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

Day 22 | Tuesday, March 21

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

There seems to be a contradiction in what Jesus said. For example, whoever wants to be great must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave. Jesus came to this earth to be a servant and to serve others, Jesus gave up his life for others.

  1. What position do you want to be in your community? A person who serves others? Or a person who is served by others?
  2. What are you willing to give up in order to serve other people?

Matthew 20:26-28 (NIV) | “Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave-- just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."

Day 21 | Monday, March 20

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

There are five elements that make up the church: worship, missions, education, fellowship, and service.

  1. To which of these 5 elements are you devoting yourself to build in the church?
  2. If you are interested in serving, what gift would you like to serve with?

1 Peter 4:10 (NIV) | “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.

Ephesians 4:11-13 (NIV) | “It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Day 20 | Friday, March 17

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. To what extent am I willing to sacrifice my talents for God’s vision?
  2. How can I use my talents to bless others? Who can I bless with my talents this coming week?

Acts 20:35 (CEB) | “In everything I have shown you that, by working hard, we must help the weak. In this way we remember the Lord Jesus' words: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

James 2:14 (GNT) | My friends, what good is it for one of you to say that you have faith if your actions do not prove it? Can that faith save you?

Day 19 | Thursday, March 16

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. How do I maintain humility in my successes?
  2. Do I give God the glory for how He has blessed me in light of my accomplishments?
  3. Is my pride a motivator in what I choose to do with my gifts?

Isaiah 2:8 (NIV) | Their land is full of idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their fingers have made.

Romans 12:3 (NIV) | For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.

Day 18 | Wednesday, March 15

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. How can I combat feelings of helplessness due to my failures?
  2. Do I view my self-worth through the lens of what I do, or by whom God made me to be?

1 John 3:1a (MSG) | What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! Just look at it—we’re called children of God! That’s who we really are.

2 Timothy 1:7 (MSG) | God doesn’t want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible.

Day 17 | Tuesday, March 14

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. How can I utilize my talents to their fullest potential?
  2. How can I be sure I am using my talents for the right things in life? Where do I put my focus?

Colossians 3:23 (NIV) | Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,

Proverbs 16:3 (NLV) | Trust your work to the Lord, and your plans will work out well.

Day 16 | Monday, March 13

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. What do I focus on more; what I’m doing in life or what God is doing through me?
  2. What do I do if my talents aren’t enough?

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) | So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) | But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Day 15 | Friday, March 10

Take a moment to meditate on the following question and bible scripture:

Do you think there exists an anger that does produce the righteousness God desires?

James 1:19-20 (NLT) | Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires.

Day 14 | Thursday, March 9

Take a moment to meditate on the following question and bible scripture:

Do you think God’s judgement is justified in being “angry?”

John 3:35-36 (NLT) | The Father loves his Son and has put everything into his hands. And anyone who believes in God’s Son has eternal life. Anyone who doesn’t obey the Son will never experience eternal life but remains under God’s angry judgment.”

Day 13 | Wednesday, March 8

Take a moment to meditate on the following question and bible scripture:

Have you ever found yourself being angry with someone else for NOT being angry?

Jonah 4:1-3 (NLT) | This change of plans greatly upset Jonah, and he became very angry. So he complained to the Lord about it: “Didn’t I say before I left home that you would do this, Lord? That is why I ran away to Tarshish! I knew that you are a merciful and compassionate God, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. You are eager to turn back from destroying people. Just kill me now, Lord! I’d rather be dead than alive if what I predicted will not happen.”

Day 12 | Tuesday, March 7

Take a moment to meditate on the following question and bible scripture:

In today’s polarized cultural climate, it is easy to get sucked into pointing fingers at others. Do you ever find yourself easily devaluing people?

Matthew 5:21-22 (NLT) | You have heard that our ancestors were told, ‘You must not murder. If you commit murder, you are subject to judgment.’ But I say, if you are even angry with someone, you are subject to judgment! If you call someone an idiot, you are in danger of being brought before the court. And if you curse someone, you are in danger of the fires of hell.

Day 11 | Monday, March 6

Take a moment to meditate on the following question and bible scripture:

When was the last time you made a conscious assessment of the people you allow to be most influential in your life?

Proverbs 22:24-25 (NIV) | Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered, or you may learn their way and get yourself ensnared.

Day 10 | Friday, March 3

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. How did the Lord use discouragement and lost hope when I was hurt, to bring me to a decision to follow him or re-dedicate my life back to him?
  2. With this in mind, are there any hurting people with whom God would want me to share my story? How can I prepare to reach out to them?

Psalm 34:18 (CEV) | The Lord is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope.

Day 9 | Thursday, March 2

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. What is the Lord's promise of new strength that enables you to face possibly hurtful situations?
  2. What do the "right paths" look like for you in this broken world?

1 Chronicles 16:11-12a (NIV) | Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. Remember the wonders he has done.

Day 5 | Friday, February 24

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. Have I made church a part of my comfort zone? For instance, instead of asking “what did I get from church today?”, should I be asking, “how did I contribute? How did I edify the body of Christ?”
  2. How have I made Christianity comfortable?
  3. What is one way that I am willing to be uncomfortable so that I can obey God this week?

Matthew 16:24 | Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.”

Day 4 | Thursday, February 23

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. How does God promise to provide comfort to me?
  2. What or who am I looking to for peace and comfort each day?

Day 3 | Wednesday, February 22

Take a moment to meditate on the following questions and bible scripture:

  1. Was there a time in my life when I was willing to be uncomfortable to be obedient and what did God do through that?
  2. Is God only working in my life when I am uncomfortable?

Genesis 12:1-3 | Now the Lord said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
