This week's movie pick is When the Game Stands Tall [PG]

This movie is about the journey of legendary football coach Bob Ladouceur, who took the De La Salle High School Spartans from obscurity to a 151-game winning streak that shattered all records for any American sport.

This movie chronicles the life of Andrea Bocelli, who transcended his blindness through his singing.

Forget everything you know about Little Red Riding Hood; the classic fairy tale gets a new look and a new style in this computer-animated comedy for the whole family.

This week's movie pick is The Karate Kid (2010) [PG]

A quarter-century after Mr. Miyagi schooled Daniel LaRusso in the ways of "wax on, wax off," The Karate Kid is back with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan fleshing out the story's key roles.

This week's movie pick is Everest. [PG-13]

Inspired by the incredible events surrounding an attempt to reach the summit of the world's highest mountain, Everest documents the awe-inspiring journey of two different expeditions challenged beyond their limits by one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered by mankind. Their mettle tested by the harshest elements found on the planet, the climbers will face nearly impossible obstacles as a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival.

Day 26: Why Impact?

One of my favourite movies is "A Christmas Carol" written by Charles Dickens about a Scrooge who only knew how to live for himself but changes at a late hour of his life to make a great impact!

This week's movie pick is Maleficent. [PG]

Maleficent is Disney's 2014 American dark fantasy film directed by Robert Stromberg and starring Angelina Jolie as the title character. The story takes inspiration from the 1959 animated classic, Sleeping Beauty, but from the perspective of the villainous Maleficent.

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."

Those words were spoken by James and are found in James 1:2-4 NIV
