Conscientiousness in paying proper attention to a task!
This is the definition of the word diligence. It is found in a Key scripture about faith!

"and without faith it is impossible to please God. For he that cometh to God must first believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him."

Hebrews 11:6 KJV

There is power in the practice of reward! If you are a parent, I hope that you wisely use this power to motivate your children forward in character and practice!

Through the scripture, we understand God uses the same power of reward. He is really saying, those that take seriously their faith will be rewarded! Put together with our definition of the word diligence, it goes like this: those who conscientiously pay proper attention to the task of their faith will be rewarded!

Jesus ends the parable of the three servants in Matthew 25 with this conclusion.

"To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away."

Our diligence determines our rewards. Another way to put it is; "You take God seriously in faith and he takes you seriously in reward"!
